donated around 450 thousand litres of gasoline and diesel fuel to aid ambulance teams in several Russian regions, including, but not limited to the Republic Tatarstan, and Nizhny Novgorod region.
The outbreak of the COVID-19
pandemic led to a dramatic increase in the number of ambulance calls, which translated into a need for additional fuel. LUKOIL does not limit its help to medical transport and provides free fuel for the vehicles of volunteer organizations that help disadvantaged groups in the republics of Karelia and Udmurtia, as well as in Astrakhan, Voronezh, Krasnodar and Perm regions.
LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov had donated RUB 50 million of personal funds to outfit the Central District Hospital in Usinsk (the Republic of Komi
). The hospital received 50 types of equipment, including ECG recorders, expendable supplies and individual protective gear for its medical personnel. Artificial respiration units, bedside monitors and surgical beds are to be delivered and installed in the near future. Since 10th of April LUKOIL has been fueling ambulances and hospital cars in Komi free of charge.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, LUKOIL has donated more than RUB 652 million in 22 Russian regions
and almost $ 900 000 in its operation countries abroad to treat patients and fight the spread of the disease.
