Biography
He was born in 1946 in the village Abdrakhmanovo, Tatarstan.
He holds a degree of Doctor of Economics and Graduated from the Gubkin Petrochemical and Gas Industry Institute of Moscow in 1971.
Takhautdinov started his career in 1964 as driller’s assistant at Almetyevsk Drilling Operations Department, then served as oil production operator, underground well repair foreman and manager of a reservoir pressure maintenance section.
He also served as Chief of the Djalilneft NGDU from 1978 to 1983, as Chief of Almetyevneft NGDU from 1983 to 1985, First Secretary of the Leninogorsk City Committee of the Communist Party from 1985 to 1990 and Chief Engineer and First Deputy General Director of OAO Tatneft from 1990 to 1999.
Takhautdinov served as General Director of Tatneft from 1999 to November 25, 2013.
From November 2013 till present: Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Advisor to Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tatneft.
