From January to June 2010, Kazakhstan produced 39.2 million tons of crude, an increase of 6.4 percent over the same period in 2009, Kazakhstan Statistics Agency Chairman Alikhan Smailov said. Smailov said that gas production in the country rose 5.1 percent to 18.5 billion cubic meters of gas over the same period.
"From January to June of the current year, 39.2 million tons of crude and 18.5 billion cubic meters of gas was produced", Smailov said on Monday.
