Gazprom is negotiating for the state-owned, 85.16% stake in Kyrgyzneftegaz.
The CEO of Gazprom Alexei Miller and the Kyrgyzstani Finance Minister met in Moscow to discuss this issue, according to industry sources.
Proven gas reserves in Kyrgyzstan are estimated at 6 billion cubic meters. The country produces about 30 million cubic meters of gas a year.
