China has delivered its fourth wide-bodied 300,000-ton V.L.C.C. oil tanker to Iran, the head representative of Iran's National Oil Tanker Company in Beijing, Parviz Sangin, said in an interview.
Sangin said the giant oil tanker is 333 meters long and 58 meters wide, and was built by China's Dalian shipbuilding company.
The first such tanker had been delivered to Iran in September 2002 and since then oil tankers of the same class have been given to Iran every six months.
The Iranian official said the fifth and last oil tanker of this class will be given to Iran about six months later by the Chinese company.
