Surat Gas Fire Under Control

A gas well near Surat that has been burning out of control for more than a week after an explosion in southern inland Queensland has been extinguished.
Yvette Reade, from Origin Energy, the company that manages the gas well, says mining experts from the United States put the fire out yesterday.
The explosion occurred on April 7. One person died and two more were flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious burns.
