Astana, May 16 - Neftegaz.RU. Kazakhstan exported 24.1 million tons of oil since the beginning of 2018, said Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev at a government meeting.
«Since the beginning of the year production of oil and condensate made 29.9 million tons, which is for 6% more than in 2017. Oil production at 3 projects made 17.9 million tons: Kashagan – 3.8 million tons, Tengiz – 9.9 million tons, Karachaganak – 4.2 million tons,» Kanat Bozumbayev said.
The volume of oil export made 24,1 million tons that is 4.3% more as compared to the same period of 2017. The refining output hit 5,1 million tons growing by 12%, the overall production of oil products at 3 refineries achieved 3,6 million tons that is 7% more that in 2017.
The country set records in the energy sector in 2017,the Energy Minister said earlier, adding that he anticipates that 2018 will continue with this growth trend. The country's oil production reached 86.2 million tons in 2017, with an increase of 10.5 % compared to 2016, while oil exports rose by 12.4 %, reaching 69.8 million tons
