The Pakistani minister noted that deliveries will be made by the TAPI gas pipeline which construction will unite Turkmenistan not only with Pakistan, but also with India and Afghanistan.

Also the minister noted that India will pay in addition a royalty to Pakistan while it will pay only for the consumed gas.

According to Abbasi's message, the Pakistani government provided a guarantee for the TAPI project which size constitutes 336 billion Pakistani rupees (1 $ = 105 PKR).

Concerning the gas pipeline Pakistan-Iran the minister specified the restrictions existing today which are put into operation by the world community against Iran.

They are the key problem which does not allow to begin implementation of the project.

As earlier it was reported, in July 2017 during negotiations in Ashgabat with the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted: "Now Turkmenistan conducts a TAPI pipeline construction in the territory of itself. The parties conduct joint operation according to the solution of technical issues of continuation of its construction in the territory of Afghanistan".

The construction of the Turkmen site of TAPI started in December, 2015.

The State Concern Turkmengaz is the leader of consortium TAPI Pipeline Company Limited on a construction and operation of the TAPI gas pipeline.

The consortium also includes the Afghan gas corporation, the Pakistani Inter State Gas Systems (Private) Limited and Indian GAIL.

Design capacity of the TAPI gas pipeline is 33 billion cubic meters of gas a year. It is planned to finish the construction of the pipeline and to put it into operation by the end of 2019.
