Australian Oil and Gold Markets Rise

Australia: the share market rose for the sixth straight day after US reported about new terrorist threat from the Middle East.
Trade was light on the Australian Stock Exchange because of a bank holiday in New South Wales.
On the Sydney Futures Exchange, the September share price index contract was seven points ahead at 3535 ? a 9.9 point discount to the underlying index ? on a volume of 10,420 contracts.
Australian oil and gas firm Woodside Petroleum?s shares soared to a record high of $18.84 after it said its first half net figures would beat average analysts' expectations by 10 per cent.
