The 30-stock Micex Index retreated 1.2 percent to 1,507.05 at the close in Moscow. The dollar-denominated RTS Index declined 1.7 percent to 1,583.17.
OAO Aeroflot (AFLT RX): Russia’s largest airline will seek more than $100 million in fines from Boeing Co. if the company delays delivering the 787 Dreamliner, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Shamil Kurmashov told reporters yesterday in Moscow. Aeroflot increased 0.3 percent to 73.59 rubles.
OAO Polyus Gold (PLZL RX): Gold futures for December delivery fell $15.70, or 1.2 percent, to $1,322.90 an ounce on the Comex in New York as a stronger dollar curbed demand for the metal as an alternative investment. Polyus, the country’s biggest gold producer, declined 0.3 percent to 1,529.48 rubles.
OAO Rosneft (ROSN RX): Crude oil for December delivery fell as much as $2.03, or 2.5 percent, on the New York Mercantile Exchange to $80.52 a barrel after a report showed orders for U.S. non-military capital goods dropped in September. Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil producer, slipped 2 percent to 213.97 rubles on the Micex Stock Exchange.
