Astana, July 5 - Neftegaz.RU. Kazakhstan supplied 5,000 tons of heating oil humanitarian aid to Dushanbe Central Heating and Power Plant, Asia Plus news agency said.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan Askar Tajibayev on July 4 participated in the handover ceremony of the aid to the Tajik side.
According to the decree of the Kazakh government, a total of 83 tankers of heating oil have been delivered to Tajikistan.
Askar Tajibayev during the ceremony noted that Kazakhstan annually delivers a humanitarian aid to Tajikistan. The total sum of humanitarian aid amounted to $37 million since 2006, he said.
By the end of 2018, Tajikistan imported about 446,000 tons of petroleum products for a total of $ 310.8 million. On average, the cost of one ton of petroleum products was $ 696.
Russia remains the main supplier of petroleum products. Also, Tajikistan imported oil products from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and other countries.
Indicators of imports of petroleum products in 2018 exceeded those of 2017 by 20,700 tons, and in value by $ 44.9 million.
