Russian Oil Sector Hardships Don't Frighten CHEVRONTEXACO

ChevronTexaco Corp., leading North American marketer of refined products, is likely to extend its activity in the Russian energy sector, according to statement of the ChevronTexaco executive vice-president Sam Laidlaw.
?We are working to broaden our presence in the Russian energy strategy outside the Caspian pipeline consortium?, he said. ?Many of us imagine the general picture of investments in Russia and we see a new generation of energy unions?.
Laidlaw believes that the Russian oil-and-gas sector is stable now, but its greatest hardships are ahead.
