Uzbekneftegaz plans to import up to 1 million ton of oil from Russia and Kazakhstan since 2018 to supply its oil refineries, said Chairman of the company Alisher Sultanov, Akipress reported on September 19, 2017.

«We plan to try to supply 30,000 tons this September and up to 200,000 tons by the end of this year. Next year, we will import up to 1 million ton. The intergovernmental agreements with Russian partners are being prepared. Now we have an agreement with Kazakhstan,» he said.

Sultanov reminded that a test supply of oil will be carried out through the Omsk - Pavlodar - Chimkent petrol pipe, and then via the railroad to the territory of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekneftegaz will import the raw oil in the amount of up to 1 million tons within 2018-2020 years, and the volume of import will increase up to 5 million tons after the launch of the refining complex in Jizzakh region since 2021, he noted.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev earlier reported that Kazakhstan will be able to supply up to 1 million ton of oil to Uzbekistan.
