According to Serbian Seenews, the government of Bosnia's Serb Republic said on December 15, 2017, that it has consented the conclusion of a deal between local gas company Gas-Res and Russia's Gazprom SPG to set up a joint venture.
The 2 gas companies plan to carry out joint investment and commercial activities via their joint venture, the entity's government said following its regular session.
The president of the Serb Republic, Milorad Dodik, earlier said that the new company will be based in Zvornik.
Zvornik is a city on the Drina river in the north-eastern part of the Serb Republic, one of 2 entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other is the Federation.
