Gazprom mulls construction of 300 MW power plant in Serbia


Belgrade, May 22 - Neftegaz.RU.
Acccording to Serbian Seenews, Russia's Gazprom Energoholding is considering the construction of a 300 MW power plant in Serbia, director general Denis Fedorov has said.

"As for Serbia, we have already started one project. Now we are planning another power plant project of about 300 MW. It is called Kragujevac," Fedorov said in a video file posted on the YouTube channel of Gazprom.

In March, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic said the country is considering the construction of 4 natural gas-fired power plants - in Kragujevac, Nis, Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Gazprom Energoholding, a subsidiary of Russia's Gazprom, launched in March the construction of a 200 MW gas-fired combined cycle power plant in Pancevo - the 1st of its kind in Serbia. The commissioning of the power plant is planned for 2020.
