Budapest, September 30 - Neftegaz.RU. Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed a visit to Budapest by Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 30
"During President Putin's visit to Budapest, Hungary and Russia will sign some cooperation agreements, the main topics between the 2 parties will cover natural gas and nuclear power (NPP) issues.
On the subject of Putin’s upcoming visit to Hungary, Gergely Gulyas, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said at his regular press conference that PM Viktor Orbán and Putin routinely met once a year. “Hungary seeks good relations with all world powers, while Russia is also an important business partner,” he added.
In 2018, Gazprom supplied to Hungary 7.6 billion cu m of gas, an increase of 9.3 % (7 billion cu m) from 2017. Gazprom deliveries of gas to Hungary between January 1 and June 5, 2019, totaled 4.3 bln cubic meters, a 57.5% increase over the corresponding period a year earlier.
