Former Russian Tycoon Joined Cons In Prison Work

Imprisoned Mikhail Khodorkovsky is to start working in prison facility in Krasnokamensk today.

Khodorkovsky lives in a dorm, where there are some sleeping quarters, the residence of the jail supervisor, a television and a reading room.

Former Russian tycoon arrived on October 15. He will only be allowed to wear black clothes sewn in the prison itself while he is confined there.

Little labor is performed in the facility, however, Khodorkovsky will be given the opportunity to do cleanup work and work in the prison garden (where potatoes, cabbage and beets are grown) and farmyard (chickens and pigs are kept). This will give him a chance for parole after he has served half of his term.
