The G20 heads of state and government will discuss ways to heal the global economy and prevent financial shocks in the future.
This is the first time a G20 summit is held outside of the G8.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will chair one of the meetings at the G20 business summit on Thursday, South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said Wednesday.
The business summit will be held ahead of the meeting of G20 leaders, due Thursday evening in Seoul.
