Gazpromneft-Lubricants on July 28, 2017, announced that the company sold 7.4 thousand tonnes of marine lubricants in the 1st half of 2017 - a 7.5 % year-on-year increase.
«Thus, the company remains the leader of the Russian lubricants market for river and sea vessels,» stated the Gazpromneft-Lubricants in the announcement.
The company notes that the marine lube oils supply chain expanded in 2017 to include new Caspian sea ports, while the «most demanded» products in the year's 1st half were cylinder engine oils Texaco Taro 30 DP 40 and Delo 1000 Marine 40 for 4-stroke marine engines.
Further, Gazpromneft–Lubricants says 2017 is seeing a growing demand for lubricants for marine engines operating on low sulfur and environmentally friendly fuel, of which, the company has increased its sales volume of such products to 140 tonnes - a 9 fold increase.
«One of the company's main objectives in 2017 is to improve the technical services level. Work in this direction has already provided an additional increase in sales of premium products,» said Roman Miroshnichenko, Head of Gazpromneft-Lubricants' marine lube oils business.
«At the same time with development of instruments for business efficiency enhancement like optimization of product portfolio through hi-tech marine lube oils launching and sales geography expansion allows Gazpromneft-Lubricants to maintain leadership in Russian marine lube oil market,» Miroshnichenko noted.
