The US has allocated $456 million in military and economic assistance to Jordan for 2005, according to Planning Minister Bassem Awadallah cited by local daily Jordan Times.
Out of the total assistance, $250 million will be economic aid and the remaining $206 million will be military grants. The economic support is compatible with Jordanian authorities' Socio-Economic Transformation Plan (SETP). The figures for the 2005 aid are unchanged from the approved aid for this year.
