India to Buy LNG From Qatar

India's Oil and Natural Gas Corp is likely to buy liquefied natural gas from Qatar, Chairman R.S. Sharma said on Thursday.

"The talks are at a preliminary stage," Sharma told reporters without elaborating further.

ONGC has announced plans to set up a 7.5 million tonne LNG terminal at Mangalore in southern India.
