New well at the Turkmen Tadjibay field produces natural gas

Ashgabat, August 14 - Neftegaz.RU. An industrial inflow of natural gas with a daily flow rate of 400 thousand cubic meters was received at the Tadjibay field in Turkmenistan.

The successful drilling of a prospecting well in a promising area in the Karakum Desert was carried out by specialists of the “Lebapnebitgazgozleg” expedition of the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”. The productive layer of the new well lies at a depth of 3,700 meters.

The management arsenal of the SC “Turkmengeology” includes high-performance equipment and machinery that allow increasing the speed and quality of drilling operations.

The new gas field Tadjibay, located in the south of the Lebap region, was commissioned in December 2019. Industrial production of "blue fuel" is carried out here by specialists from the Lebap Gas Production Department of the State Concern Turkmengas. Tens of millions of cubic meters of gas have already been obtained from the first production well. In the coming years, production of natural gas in the field will significantly increase due to the commissioning of new production wells.
