Swedish oil group Lundin Petroleum has made an oil discovery in the southern part of the North Sea, the Norwegian petroleum directorate said on Friday.
The discovery was made in production licence 148, where Lundin is the operator.
"The appraisal well indicates that the size of the discovery is probably within the range of 3- 5 million standard cubic metres of recoverable oil," the directorate said in a statement.
