Ukraine is in negotiations with the IMF on issues concerning the financial condition of the state gas concern, Naftogaz Ukrayiny, First Deputy Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Volodymyr Makukha said today. Makukha said the talks were centered on “the conditions for carrying out the IMF program in which there are certain clauses related to the financial stabilization of Naftogaz Ukrayiny and the size of Naftogaz’ deficit. These issues are being discussed today with the IMF mission. Naturally, it is premature to speak of conclusions since we are still in talks with the Russian Federation.”
