Belarus reduced export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on 1 January 2017.

The decision is contained in Council of Ministers' executive order No.1095 of 28 December 2016, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

The export duty on crude oil fell from $90.4 to $79.1 per tonne.

The duty on straight-run gasoline was reduced from $64.1 per tonne to $43.5 per tonne, with the export duty on commercial gasoline down from $55.1 to $23.7 per tonne.

The export duty on light and medium distillates makes up $23.7 per tonne, down from $36.1.

The same rate is applied to diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised downward on 1 December.
