Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh says Belarus has expressed willingness to increase its oil purchases from Iran, iranian media reported on January 24, 2018.
Zangeneh received visiting Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Vitaly Vovk in Tehran.
Following the meeting, the official said Belarus has so far purchased almost 2 million barrels of crude oil from Iran.
«Belarus wants to buy more oil from Iran and further negotiations regarding the matter will be considered by the International Affairs Department of the NIOC,» Zangeneh said.
Belarus has so far imported 2 oil consignments from Iran.
The 14th meeting of the mixed Belarusian-Iranian commission for economic cooperation was held in Tehran on 22-23 January.
Belarus and Iran also signed a roadmap for bilateral cooperation for 2018-2020.
