Ankara, May 11 - Neftegaz.RU. Turkey's oil imports increased by 6.43 % year-on-year reaching 42.7 million tons last year, according to Turkish energy watchdog data.

Turkey imported the highest oil quantities respectively from Russia, Iraq and Iran, official information gathered by Anadolu Agency from Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority reveals. Oil imports from these countries accounted for 62.4 % of total imports.

Refinery license holders imported 30.1 million tons of oil out of the total amount, distributor license holders imported 12.5 million tons and bunker fuel license holders received 795,000 tons of oil in 2017.

Additionally, Turkey's diesel imports increased by 8.7 % to 13.5 million tons in 2017, compared to 2016.

The average tax excluded price of one liter of 95 octane unleaded fuel was 2.08 Turkish liras* and diesel oil was 2.12 liras* per liter liras in 2017. Petroleum prices increased more than 30 % in 2017 compared to 2016.
