Moscow, May 4 - Neftegaz.RU. Rosatom reported that on 3 May 2018, soil stabilizations works under the reactor building of power unit No 2 commenced at Bushehr-2 NPP construction site.
These works will ensure the performance of the most important stage of the project implementation - 1st concrete pouring planned for the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Soil stabilization is one of the preparatory stages for commencement of the NPP construction required to reduce the settlement of buildings and structures of the NPP and ensuring their stability in case of possible seismic impact.
After successful completion of works in May 2018 in a pilot area by Turbo Jet soil stabilization method and after obtaining positive results of laboratory tests, a permit was issued for commencement of industrial soil stabilization works in the main area of the reactor building of power unit No 2 of Bushehr NPP.
The commencement of the works in the pit of power unit № 2 is planned in 2018. All the works are being performed in accordance with the project implementation schedule.
General Contractor of Bushehr-2 project is Atomstroyexport - the company in the management scope of ROSATOM. The project is financed by the Iranian side.
