Russian East Gold Miners Prospectives

Gold mining companies of Buryatiya republic, Russia, met to discuss the future development of the regional sector.

During the meeting it was reported that in 2004 8 tons of gold will be mined in the region, several tens kg less than last year results. The decrease was explained by the fall in Zun-Kholba deposit mining. However, there are new deposits in the region that are explored and should be exploited in the nearest future.

However, according to the president of Buryatia, by 2010 gold mining in the region should have increased up to 20 tons.
