Gold futures recovered from early weakness to post a gain in New York
Tuesday, helped by short covering and light speculative buying as the euro
bounced off its weakest levels, traders said, Dow Jones reported.
December gold settled up $3.90 at $451.50 per ounce on the Comex division of the NYMEX.
Early in the session, the metal traded lower, bottoming at $445.70 overnight and $446.20 early in the open-outcry session.
