Gold futures gained modestly yesterday,
propped up in generally quiet conditions by a stronger euro.
December gold futures rose 90 cents to $443.10 an ounce, in a range of $441.90 to $444.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
