Gold Rose Modestly

Gold futures managed to finish slightly higher in New York Monday, showing some strength by avoiding a sell-off with the euro and crude oil, traders said, Dow Jones reported.

December gold on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange
finished with a small gain of 70 cents to $453.70.
