Gold Gained Almost $8

Gold and other precious metals futures rose on Tuesday on speculative and fund buying.

Approaching options expirations also contributed to the gains, with many of
these expected to turn into long futures positions, observers said.

December gold settled with a gain of $7.70 to $474.70 per ounce on the Comex division of the NYMEX.
