Russia has increased its gold production to 30.195 tonnes, by 9.3%, over the last four months, against the same period of 2005.
Thus the extraction of gold has grown by 8.1% - up to 24.622 tonnes. The passing production has increased by 22.5% - up to 4.206 tonnes, secondary - has decreased by 2.4 % down to 1.367 tonnes.
All main gold mining regions, except for 3 regions in the west, have increased the extraction of gold. The most significant growth was recorded in the Sverdlovsk region, by 76%.
Significant increases were shown by the companies Polus Gold (+1.6 tonnes), Highland Gold [AIM:HGM] (+0.6 tonnes), Mnogovershinnoe (+0.54 tonnes), Vysochaishiy in the Irkutsk region and Peter Hambro's Pokrovskiy mine in the Amur region.
