Norilsk Nickel Increased Palladium Production

Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel significantly increased palladium mining in 2005.

The world total palladium production amounted to 216 tons. As compared with 2004, palladium mining increased by 28 tons, Russia having the largest growth 0 by 22 tons up to 96 tons of the metal. Russian MMC Norilsk Nickel controls about 40% of the world palladium market.
