New gold discovery in Mexico

A new gold discovery has been made at the Dos Mil Diez site at the Cordero project in Mexico, it has been reported. Levon Resources, alongside Valley High Ventures, has located the precious metal in an exploration trench through a central area of the gold project. According to the companies, the best sample of the yellow metal returned grades of 0.952 g/t gold, while the general results have helped to expose a central gold-rich deposit.

Ron Tremblay, president and chief executive of Levon Resources, says this new discovery shows that the gold project is continuing to expand. "Discovery of a potential bulk tonnage gold zone at the surface in the new Dos Mil Diez diatreme complex adds a new dimension to our Cordero exploration. Our quest for a significant district-scale discovery remains on track," he states.

The company has previously stated that results from the 2009 drilling programme at the site were "outstanding".
