20-inch gas pipeline was damaged by a bomb
Pakistan: a 20-inch gas pipeline in Karachi from Sui to Shakirpur was damaged by a bomb.
"The damage has occurred as a result of sabotage by tribal miscreants and anti-state elements who have been constantly trying to disrupt gas pipeline system to create problems for the gas companies besides the general public," added the statement of Sui Southern Gas Company.
Meanwhile, repair teams have been already mobilized, and the estimated repair time could be 36-40 hours.
The state-run Sui Southern Gas Company has appealed to all sections of the population, especially influential persons and tribal leaders in the areas where such incidents are frequently occurring, to play their due role to bring stability and security to the region so that development activities in these less-developed parts of the country could be continued.
