Suez Canal Reopened

Suez Canal, blocked on Sunday by Russian company Sovkomflot?s oil tanker named Tropic Brilliance, has reopened for shipping traffic.

The tanker refloated after some of its load was transferred to a smaller ship.

Egyptian rescue groups had finally refloated the tanker after pumping out 25,000 tons of oil - about a quarter of its load - to another vessel. Now Tropic Brilliance is on its way to Port Said at the northern entrance of the canal, according to Suez Canal Authority.
