Shell Pipeline Blown Up in Nigeria

A crude oil pipeline operated by Royal Dutch Shell Plcs Nigerian unit was blown up by militants in Delta state, Bloomberg reports

The blast at Ugbodede, near the town of Warri, forced Shell to shut its Warri River oil pumping station, the Lagos-based newspaper said today.

Since January 2006, attacks on oil facilities have cut Nigeria's crude output by more than one quarter.
