The project of the first annual awards ceremony OIL TERMINAL 2006 has officially been launched.

The experts will be judging the performance of the oil ports and terminals from Russia, CIS, Eastern and Western Europe covering the period from 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006.
The opinion of industry professionals who voted on the web site of the event will be considered for the nomination ?Public opinion?.

The winners of the nominations to be selected during the meeting that will take place on the eve of the ceremony. The awards ceremony will take place on October 20, 2006 at Radius Hall in Moscow.

The board responsible for advising on the winners includes representatives of government agencies, energy and transport journalists and analysts, leading international energy experts and consultancies, as well as representatives from oil companies ? representatives of BP, Shell, Vitol, Gunvor, Argus, administrations of big European ports an others. The board is currently being formed. The final composition of the advisory board will be published after 31 July 2006.

Annual awards ceremony is a unique project designed to promote information exchange among representatives of port authorities and oil terminals across Europe, Russia and FSU, and to facilitate development of new export routes for oil exporters and traders

An international forum "Oil Terminal" taking place during the awards ceremony will address issues of export and shipping of crude oil and petroleum products, development of transshipment capacities, and overview of the CIS and Western Europe oil ports will take place. It is a unique opportunity for experience and information exchange among port operators and crude and products traders from Europe and the CIS.

The event is organised by UK based company Vostock Capital UK - a leading company in delivering international conferences and training programmes for the oil and gas sector targeting industry specialists from the CIS, Western and Eastern Europe.
