National Oil and Gas Forum 2013

The first National Oil and Gas Forum takes place in Moscow on the 19th -21st  of March 2013. This is the first federal event in the history of contemporary Russia, that is organized by the Ministry of Energy of Russian Federation in collaboration with leading business unions (Russian Union of Industrialist and Entrepreneurs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation) and industrial unions (Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Russian Gas Society).

The first National Oil and Gas Forum takes place in Moscow on the 19th -21st of March 2013. This is the first federal event in the history of contemporary Russia, that is organized by the Ministry of Energy of Russian Federation in collaboration with leading business unions (Russian Union of Industrialist and Entrepreneurs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation) and industrial unions (Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Russian Gas Society).


Forum is going to be held on a permanent basis. Mission of the Forum is to evaluate external and internal challenges, that the energy sector is facing, and to improve the process of forecasting and modeling of mid-term and long-term development scenarios for Fuel and Energy Industry Sectors.

Key issues addressed by the Forum include long-term milestones and goals of oil and gas industry, development of energy market infrastructure, innovations and energy efficiency, fiscal policy analysis, creation of competitive market environment, improving hydrocarbon price forecast accuracy, effects of volatility on macro-economic variables and foreign trade policy, as well as environmental standards and energy industry security.

The Forum is organized in plenary sessions, thematic conferences and round tables (Role and place of Russian Oil and Gas in the world economy: maintaining leadership in the time of fighting for resources and market share; Investment into human capital: savings - education - increase in labor productivity; East Gas Program: heading to the Asia-Pacific region; Russian oil and Gas processing Industry: modernization and creation of added value; Fuel pricing: modern pricing tools and Russian reality; and others).

In view of the Russia’s forthcoming G20 presidency, special attention will be given to the issues of international energy dialogue.

A specialized exhibition “Modern technologies and innovations in Russian Oil and Gas Industry” will run in parallel to the Forum, introducing the most recent innovative technologies in oil and gas industry of the host country to all guests and participants.
