During 17 – 20 May in the Convention and exhibition Centre “EXPOFORUM” will be held the annual Russian International Energy Forum. This year the Forum the branch structure of the Eurasian economic Commission for the first time participate in the forming of agenda and experts. The membership of the co-organizers of special events is significantly expanded.
One of the key events of the business program will be a discussion on "Energy integration of member States of the Eurasian Economic Union: perspectives and conditions for the formation of a common energy market", the initiator and organizer of which will be the Department of energy of the Eurasian Economic Commission and subordinate structures.
The preparation of the program of a common energy market of the EEU began last year in March, the period of approval which determined before 1 July 2016, and in the period from 2016 to 2018 member States will have to ensure the implementation of measures necessary for the functioning of this market.
The effect of creation of common energy market of the EEU will demonstrate increasing the efficient use of generation and transmission capacity, increasing the volume of mutual and foreign trade of electricity. This market will allow increasing loading of power stations and traffic capacity use of inter-state transmission lines. This will result in decreased production costs of electricity and reducing the energy intensity of VDP of member States of the EEU.
On investment policy in the regions of Russian Federation will be a round table "Modernization of municipal infrastructure through public-private partnership in the field of energy and housing and communal services (HCS) of Russia in the conditions of economic downturn".
The General partner of the Forum is LLC "Gazprom energoholding". With the participation of experts in the Forum will be held the III specialized conference "Modern state and prospects of development of generating capacities in Russia", the technical dialogue "The interests consolidation of consumers and producers of energy equipment. Problems, solutions, case studies"
Within the Forum traditionally will be XXIII International exhibition "Energetika and Elektrotechnika 2016" which will show the latest achievements of the industry from 9 countries.
