Beijing hosts the 8th meeting of the sub-committee of Kazakh-Chinese Cooperation Committee for geology and subsoil use, the press service of the Kazakh ministry for investments and development said Nobember 24, 2016.
Akipress reported that Kazakh delegation was led by Chairman of the Committee for Geology and Subsoil Use Bazarbay Nurabayev and the Director of the Satpayev Institute of Geological Sciences Murat Omirserikov.
China was represented by the heads of Ministry of Land and Resources, First Secretary of the Department of Asia and Europe, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, researchers, and others.
Cao Weixing, Vice Minister of Land and Resources of China, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony in Beijing on November 23, 2016.
Weixing thanked the Kazakh delegation for their active participation in the event and congratulated Kazakhstan on the 25th anniversary of independence.
Nurabayev, for his part, thanked his Chinese colleagues for organizing this event.
The agenda of the 8th meeting of the Cooperation Committee included participation of the exploration firms in the upcoming international congresses, exhibitions in Kazakhstan and China.
The meeting is expected to sign a Memorandum on cooperation between the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use of the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan and the China Geological Survey organization.
