Russia's Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko and Norway's Petroleum and Energy Minister Thorhild Widvey met on Wednesday to discuss joint cooperation on the European market,the informational agency Interfax reported.

The two ministers also discussed prospects for the industrial development of the Barents Sea shelf, Norwegian company involvement in developing the Shtokman deposits and joint efforts on the European market. They said their countries would like to work together developing their shelves in the Barents Sea.
Kristenko also emphasized the importance of transportation projects, to be jointly developed by Russia and Norway,mand first of all, the North TransGas Pipeline.
