Romania's Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu proposed to establish a social aid fund for household gas consumers, to which OMV would make financial contributions in order to subsidise part of the bill.
The aim is to keep gas prices at their current level until late 2008.
As for industrial consumers, Tariceanu stated that prices in this case would be imposed by market mechanisms.
