Share of Russia’s Gazprom in European market will reach 38% by 2020, said Michael Stoppard, Chief Strategist for Global Gas at IHS Markit, reported Azeri-Press Agency (APA) on April 20, 2017.
«Market share of Gazprom will yearly increase 1% by 2020. Till this time, the company’s share in European market will reach 38%», Stoppard said.
According to him, the main reason of interest in Russia gas is that this gas is cheaper: «Taking this into account, I can say that Azerbaijani and Turkmen gas will not be able to affect Gazprom’s market share».
He also noted that share of Azerbaijani and Turkmen gas in European market will increase from 2% to 8% by 2020.
