The oil tanker Prestige that broke up and sank on Tuesday, carrying 77,000 tonnes of fuel oil, is still leaking fuel oil.
But Spain has taken issue with the Portuguese navy?s reports. The deputy prime minister, Mariano Rajoy, said over the weekend there was only a thin film of oil where the tanker went down.
The navy aircraft monitoring the site, about 135 miles west of Spain?s Galician coast, sighted a slick about two miles long and a few hundred yards wide on Saturday.
