Oil Tanker In Ice

Oil tanker transporting 100,000 metric tons of crude was squeezed in icy weather of Finland.

The Greek-registered ship left the Russian port of Primorsk on Tuesday.

The name of the ship is Stemnitsa. Stemnitsa's operator Minerva Marine Inc. said it had always strictly followed international regulations.

Stemnitsa is an ice class tanker, Minerva emphasized.

Helsinki's fears are caused the sinking of the Prestige tanker off Spain in November.
