Robots To Capture Prestige Oil

Repsol YPF, the Spanish oil company is to clean the wreck of the sunken oil tanker Prestige, still consisting 35?000 tones of oil.

The company plans to use robots which are able to work 4?000 meters below the surface. They should collect the oil and seal the tanker afterwards.

When the devices are tested successfully, Repsol will begin with the construction immediately and in early 2004, the rescue work is to start.
