It is for the first time in Russia, announced TATNEFT Group on August 5, 2016, that they have completely stopped producing the fuel oil product at the TANECO refinery and have started fuel oil free production works.
This event is a large-scale achievement for TANECO, which happened owing to the delayed coking unit comprehensive testing. The unit’s stable operation has allowed reaching the "zero" fuel oil index and increasing the depth of oil refining up to 95 percent with the yield of light oil products coming up to 85.8 percent.
There were advanced technological solutions implemented in the production unit, which had been developed by Lukoil-Nizhegorodniinefteproek" and GUP Institute of Petroleum Refining and Petrochemistry, enabling to significantly reduce the coking cycle, automate many production processes, create safe and efficient working environment for the personnel and ensure compliance with the environmental requirements.
The launch of the delayed coker with the feedstock capacity of 2 million tonnes per year is one of the TATNEFT’s key projects for development of oil refining, which allows improving the technical and economic performance of TANECO and increasing the value added and gross regional product of Tatarstan.
